Senior Superintendent of Police Ajay Singh was given an emotional farewell by the Dehradun Police after his transfer from the district to the Special Task Force (STF) Uttarakhand. Officers present at the ceremony extended their best wishes for his new responsibilities.
Speakers highlighted that Ajay Singh had one of the longest tenures as SSP Dehradun, during which he played a key role in strengthening law and order, controlling crime, and modernising policing in the district. Several sensitive cases were successfully resolved under his leadership, enhancing public trust in the police.
It was also noted that he led the State Foundation Day parade and, for the first time, presented the ceremonial salute to the Hon’ble President — a proud moment for Dehradun Police.
The newly appointed SSP Dehradun praised Ajay Singh’s leadership, patience, dedication to duty, and swift decision-making ability, saying his guidance gave the district police a strong direction.
