The long-awaited expansion of the Uttarakhand cabinet under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami was finally carried out on Friday, with five new ministers inducted into the state government. The move is being seen as a significant step toward strengthening the administration and ensuring regional and political balance. The swearing-in ceremony was held at the Raj Bhavan, where Governor Gurmit Singh administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly appointed ministers. Those inducted into the cabinet include Rajpur MLA Khajan Das, Bharat Singh Chaudhary from Rudraprayag, senior leader Madan Kaushik from Haridwar, Roorkee MLA Pradeep Batra, and Madan Singh Kheda representing the Kumaon region. With this expansion, all five long-vacant मंत्री positions in the state cabinet have now been filled. A notable highlight of the ceremony was when Bharat Singh Chaudhary took the oath in Sanskrit, while the other ministers took their oath in Hindi.
