Panic gripped the busy Tibetan Market in Dehradun after a युवक was shot dead in broad daylight on Wednesday. The victim died on the spot after being hit by a bullet, triggering chaos and fear among shoppers and traders in the crowded marketplace.
The incident occurred under the Dalanwala police station limits. According to eyewitnesses, two assailants arrived at the market on a scooter and opened fire at the युवक in the middle of the bustling area. The attackers fled immediately after carrying out the shooting. The entire घटना unfolded within seconds, leaving bystanders stunned.
Police teams rushed to the spot soon after receiving information and cordoned off the area. The market was secured as a precautionary measure. The body has been taken into custody and sent for post-mortem examination.
Investigators are scanning CCTV footage from nearby cameras to identify the accused. Intensive checking is also underway at major checkpoints across the city to nab the suspects
