Dehradun.. 06 Feb2026
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s “Pariksha Pe Charcha” programme at St. Agnes School, Nehruvilla Road. The event marked the 9th edition of the nationally acclaimed student interaction initiative.
Addressing students, the Chief Minister said that today the entire nation is connected with the ninth edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha. What began as a dialogue has now transformed into a national movement. He emphasized that the Prime Minister’s message teaches students that while examinations are an important part of life, they are not life itself.
Sharing his own school-life experiences, Chief Minister Dhami said that school years are extremely precious and never return. He encouraged students to actively participate not only in academics but also in sports and other co-curricular activities. He described examinations as an opportunity, where students should perform like warriors — with confidence, patience, and mental calmness. Passing exams alone does not define capability; life offers many other goals and paths to success.
The Chief Minister urged students to set clear goals, move forward with proper priorities, and achieve success with a positive mindset free from exam-related stress. He also appealed to parents not to impose unnecessary pressure on their children and to avoid comparing them with others.
It is noteworthy that under Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026, over four crore students, teachers, and parents across the country have registered, a participation expected to break the previous Guinness World Record. From Uttarakhand alone, nearly 7 lakh students, over 53,000 teachers, and more than 14,000 parents have registered this year, compared to 2.98 lakh students in the previous year.
Out of ten inspirational videos created by students from Uttarakhand, one video has been selected at the national level. The video was prepared by Rohan Singh Rana, a student of Government Higher Secondary School, Pala Kurali, Jakholi block, Rudraprayag district. Rohan Singh Rana has been invited to Delhi for the Prime Minister’s programme, bringing pride to the entire state.
During the programme, Director General of Education Ms. Deepti Singh, Director of Secondary Education Dr. Mukul Kumar Sati, teachers, and a large number of school students were present.
