International Women’s Day Celebrated at India Optel Limited

Dehradun, March 7, 2026(RNS).
International Women’s Day 2026 was celebrated with great enthusiasm at India Optel Limited (IOL) in Dehradun under the theme “Give To Gain.” The programme highlighted the vital role of women in society and the workplace and aimed to promote empowerment, respect and recognition for women employees.
The event was graced by Ms. Rajat Shakti, Head of Red FM Dehradun, Smt. Anupama Tripathi, President of Optel Women Welfare Committee, Dr. Moumita Sharma, Vice President of the Committee, Smt. Sharmistha Koul Sharma, Director (HR), IOL, and Smt. Urmi Shrivastava, CGM Training.
The celebrations began with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp followed by welcome remarks. Various engaging activities and cultural programmes were organised to celebrate the spirit of womanhood.
The programme featured yoga demonstrations, dance and singing performances, a ramp walk competition and a kabaddi match, which saw enthusiastic participation from women employees. Fun activities like the lemon race and other performances added excitement and joy to the celebrations.
On the occasion, IOL Excellence Awards were presented to outstanding women employees in recognition of their dedication, professionalism and valuable contributions to the organisation.
Speaking on the occasion, the dignitaries appreciated the significant role of women in strengthening the organisation and emphasised the importance of creating an inclusive and supportive work environment.
